The message "Initialization failed" is linked to Apple which has reinforced its development protocols. You must manually authorize the installation of all scanner components.
To do this, follow this procedure:
- Restart the Mac (Note that you have 30 minutes to complete the following steps, otherwise some features will not be displayed)
- Unplug the scanner
- Go to "System Preferences"> "Security and Confidentiality"> "General" tab
- Click on "Authorize" in the window that appears.
- Restart your Mac as requested
- Test a scan
It may be required to unplug/plug the scanner again after the restart.
