We are happy to announce that the new IRIScan Desk 5 software is now available online.
So what's new in this software update ?
- We added a "Help" tab in the menu. You now have a quick access to our Support team, FAQ and user guide. We also added an auto update feature. When a new one is available, you will receive a notification asking if you want to install it.
- We improved the hand recognition document engine that improve books scanning speed
- Thanks to an improved OCR engine, it's much Faster to process and export your documents.
- As many of you requested, we have now a full embedded Text To Speech module. you can read aloud what you scan.
- We also added a Text To Speech Editor. You can now edit your text before you export it (Text To Speech mode only).
- The Barcode & QR Code Engine has been update. More barcode are supported and the export is much faster. Ideal for Logistics & Invoice Barcode Processing !
- You can now export your scans to email directly. You need a mail client installed on your machine.
- You can now process and export Multiple document simultaneously (receipt, barcode, business card, ...).
- Previously when the software crashed, you lost all your documents. We have now added a feature that allows you to retrieve those documents when re-opening the software.
- FINALLY! You can now export a log file of IRIScan Desk software on your computer. This will help our Techincal Assistant to troubleshoot the issue faster and more efficiently.
Safe procedure to install the software update on your computer:
- Go to the Control Panel > Click on Uninstall a program and select IRIScan Desk 5 to uninstall it. This step is mandatory. If you have a previous version installed, you need to uninstall it will not work correctly.
- Once it's done, download and install the software update corresponding to your scanner model (mandatory) via one of this link:
- Double click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Make sure to install the IRIScan Desk 5 software first THEN the Twain driver.
- Restart your computer.
- Start using your IRIScan Desk.
